VT Catamounts Head to Big Dance

We may be a small state but we sure can fill some big dancing shoes. This year the Catamount men's and women's basketball teams are both headed to the big dance. This marks the first ever appearance of both teams at the NCAA tournament!

The men gave a surprising 83-70 win over Boston University to gain their spot, while the women broke their competitiors 20 game winning streak to conquer 55-50.

While, the women seem to have the Cinderella story with their surprising upset, the men have something even more powerful; history repeating.

At the Catamount Men's last appearance at the Big Dance in 2005, they upset Syracuse with a 60-57 win in overtime. Well it's time for history to repeat itself as the Catamounts have been matched up against the Orangemen once again.

While, Catamount fans have every reason to be hopeful for their 16th-seeded, underdog team, the Orangemen should be wary and remember what happened the last time they counted us out! Go Catamounts!
