Health care for everyone!! A historic moment in our country's history, yet it is far from a celebration for many.
A common concern of the republican party is in regards to who will be paying for health care for the additional 32 million Americans who will now have access to it. The issue of abortion, specifically has come up numerous times.
Not only do republicans want no part in helping those without healthcare plans if it affects them financially, but they want no part in their tax payer dollars adding in any pro-choice decisions. That's their biggest concern? How ridiculous!
You are so concerned with keeping every last penny of your money in the bank and so concerned with only have your decisions heard that you aren't willing to help those in need? Those who may have run out of options? That's harsh!
However, I do not feel the real controversy here is based upon money, in fact I do not believe it is based upon the issue of "health care" at all. It is much simpler then that. The main issue here is fear.
With this bill now granted, it means that in at least one BIG way those who were suffering before will be suffering no longer. Which means that those who consider themselves "elite" will "elite" in one less aspect of life.
Well ya know what? I say that's tough. Those elite can deal with it! Why should others have to suffer and go without just so that you can feel important? If we have the opportunity for everyone in America to have quality affordable healthcare...why wouldn't we?
